Introduction

Basic function of DSPACK is to help the user to store and manipulate data. This can all be achieved by the set of simple functions described in the User's Guide.

Features described here are extensions which may be used in order to make the system easier to use and more flexible. Some of the features allow mapping of data from other systems into DSPACK objects, other extend power of DSPACK.

In some cases using the features described here may mean more work for the programmer - in order to make life easier for the user. In the High Energy Physics community, where more and more of us become programmers as well as users - this approach means investing into making our life easier at a later date.
