Data set handle

Each defined data set has a reserved location in the DSPACK internal tables where pointers to the data set definition, to the data and some other information about the data set are stored. The handle is the link to this location. In most DSPACK calls the handle is used together with the data set name. The handle of the data set never changes once the data set is defined. The user presets the variable to be used to store the handle to zero before the first call referring to the given data set. DSPACK finds the data set by name and returns correct handle . In subsequent calls the handle is only checked against the name.
