Initialization file

During initialization DSPACK tries to locate the initialization file .dspackrc. The search order is as follows:

• Each item has a form T1.T2.T3 : value comment
  Where:

  T1

  - is 'dspack' or '*'

  T2

  - is the client or program name as given to dsinit - or '*'

  T3

  - option name

  comment

  - may start anywhere after a valid value for the option

  For instance a line

  dspack.mzt.case : off     No case converion

  means that keyboard entries are treated 'as typed' and not converted to upper cases - this line is only seen by the program mzt and is ignored by all other programs.

• dspack.<program>.end: causes <program> to skip the rest of the file

• dspack.<program>.setenv: <name> = <value> causes setting the envirnomental variable <name>. This variable may be later used by the program. <value> is expanded if it contains existing environment variables. The typical example may be:

  dspack.*.setenv :    DSPACK_FILES = $DSPACK_HOME

• dspack.<program>.message : <message text> causes <message text> to be send to standard output. (This is disabled if LUN=0 in dsinit call).

• Spaces are usually irrelevant (except for message). Case is irrelevant on the left side of the colon, the right had side may or may not be case sensitive depending on the option.

• Lines which were not recognized as known options are passed to user's routine ds_user_widget(name,value) - where name and value are character variables containing the left and the right side of the colon. A dummy ds_user_widget is in the dspack library. Lines without a colon are ignored.
